Sunrise Duty Free is a specialized travel retail duty-free operator, established in Beijing and Shanghai, China’s two most important gateway cities. Sunrise operates a number of duty-free shops in Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK), Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) and Shanghai Hongqiao Airport (SHA). Passengers visiting Sunrise Duty Free shops can enjoy shopping at our outbound shops (departure) and inbound shops (arrival) in the above three airports. For the convenience of our shoppers, all passengers can purchase duty-free goods upon departure and/or arrival. Also, returning passengers have the unique privilege of preordering merchandise upon departure (outbound) and picking up their goods upon their return to China at our arrival shop (inbound). We call this procedure “pre-order outbound, pick-up inbound”.
Sunrise Duty Free offers a wide range of tax-free merchandise at our various airports. They fall in five categories.
1. Perfume and cosmetics: the latest released products by major brands are featured, some of which are unique to duty-free shops only.
2. Fashion and accessories: we have a number of luxury brand boutiques and they offer products such as garments, leather goods, bags, watches, jewelries and pens.
3. Liquor and tobacco: Sunrise offers a complete line of world renowned brands in cigarettes, cigars and piped tobaccos. We also have a variety of internationally known liquor products such as cognacs, whiskies, wines and spirits.
4. General merchandise: electronics, luggage, toys, sun glasses and travel souvenirs are available in our general merchandise section.
5. Foods: confectionaries including chocolates and cookies can be purchased.
In order to achieve greater efficiency, Sunrise Duty Free has developed a state-of-the-art IT system to optimize its operations ranging from purchasing, logistics to sales.
